Cultural, Youth, Environmental Association of Eger


Introduction

Part Egyesület, EgerOur association was founded in December 2005 by local young citizens who are really interested in the cultural development of our town. It was registered by the registry court in 2006. We work is fully on voluntrary and non-profit basis.

Aims

- stir up the cultural life of Eger and its surroundings by new approaches
- to get involved the younger generation into the cultural life of Eger
- to motivate and exhibit the creativity of the youngers
- to attack the attention for culture and for our town and its surroundings
- to built community
- to get together those individuals and groups who work separately in different fields of culture


Activities

Organization of cultural project

Our association gives legal background for the Urban Breakdown DJ crew of Eger and Agriacommando airsoft group.

Our main activity at the moment is to organise contemporary art exhibitions and events in the building of the Small Synagogue of Eger. More info in Hungarian >

Cultural magazine

- Part magazine - cultural on-line magazine of Eger: at the moment it is internet based: www.partmagazin.hu, but later on we plan it in printed form.
- The issue of this magazine is one of the the basic activities of our association. This magazine is totally made by young people for young people. Our magazine is a free forum for topics of cultural and urban life. You can find articles about music, art, urban life, literature, theatre, movies, and also about visual topics. The sections of the magazine are updated monthly. You can find the most interesting programs and issues on the opening page. Our magazine has a very strong cohesion power, which helps to get together the active young people in and around Eger.

Activities till now

- Contemporary art exhibitions and events in the Small Synagogue of Eger
- Many musical programs (mostly free) in Eger and in its surrounding area (Bandstand, Császár-erdõ, Dobó Square, Szépasszony-Valley, etc.).
- Several non-profit, youth and drug prevention programs.
- We worked together with several (sub)cultural groups of Eger. For instance: Agria Party Service, Colored Effects - CFS, Obsession (break dancing), Lobbanáspont and also with most of the region’s underground electronic mucic groups (Eger, Mezõkövesd, Heves, Gyöngyös, Miskolc).
